Alejandro “Alex” S. Saliva Jr., 49, died June 25, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.
Public Viewing will be Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 12PM until 4:30 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia in Amarillo. The Rosary will follow at 5 PM on July 5, 2026. The funeral will be Monday, July 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel with burilal at Llano Cemetery.
Alex was born April 13, 1977, in Dimmitt, Texas. He attended Caprock High School and was known for his outgoing spirit, constant smile, and wonderful personality. Alex had a way of making people feel welcome, and his presence brought joy and laughter to those around him.
He enjoyed watching sports and was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. In 2013, Alex met Elizabeth Martinez. With their mutual love for music and dancing—and the fact that he was taller than she was—he swept her off her feet. The couple moved to San Antonio in 2014, where they continued building their life together.
Alex fiercely loved his family. He was their “ride or die,” always ready to stand beside them, protect them, and defend them. He was a keeper and defender of his children and siblings, and he adored his nieces and nephews deeply.
Alex also had a great love for his fur babies, Monalisa and Elizabeth Taylor, though those who knew him may agree he was just a little partial to Monalisa.
Alex will be remembered for his big heart, his smile, his loyalty, and the love he gave so freely.
He is preceded in death by his mother.
Alex is survived by his life partner and best friend, Elizabeth Martinez; his three daughters, Adrianna Isabel, Julissa Carmen and Lexi Saliva; his sons, Andrew Isaiah Saliva and Iziak Santiago Martinez; his sisters, Maria Murillo, Gracie Martinez, and Rachel Saliva; his brothers, Raymond Murillo, Enrique, Javier and Manuel Salvia; his father Alejandro Saliva Sr; three grandchildren Levi Daniel, Dominic Antonio and Leylani Adelaya Saliva; and his canine companions, Monalisa and Elizabeth Taylor.
