Allen Ray Phillips, 60, of Amarillo died Wednesday, January 1, 2014.

Allen was born May 19, 1953 in Tucson, Arizona to Fred and Alice Phillips. He attended Palo Duro High School and joined the Navy in the early 70’s. He was a radio man on the USS Cleveland.
When he returned home from the Navy, he started working as an electrician through the IBEW. His last job before his death was as a technician in the press room for the Amarillo Globe News.
Survivors include his parents and long-time companion, Janice Allen.
