Alvaro was born April 30, 1951 in Cd. Cuahtemoc, Chihuahua Mexico, to Ruperto and Lasara Macias. He married Rosa Sanchez on August 5, 1974 in Lovington, New Mexico. They moved to Amarillo in 1985 and made it their home ever since.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lasara; his wife, Rosa Sanchez Macias; and one sister, Rosa Ester Macias Mendez.
SURVIVORS: Survivors include his three daughters, Erica Macias, Maria Benitez and husband Jose Alfredo, and Melissa Sanchez, all of Amarillo; his father, Ruperto Macias of Los Alamos, Chihuahua, Mexico; four sisters, Roberta Macias, Veronica Macias, Franasca Macias, all of Los Alamos, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Trinidad Gonzales of Forth Worth Texas; one brother, Jaime Macias of Los Alamos, Chihuahua, Mexico; four grandsons, Aby Benitez, Manuel Angel Lupez, Santos Hernan Macias, and Isaac Benitez, all of Amarillo.
