Antonia Julia Cordero of Amarillo died Saturday, May 25, 2013.
Memorial Services will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30 at New Life Embassy Church with Pastor Spike Maldonado officiating. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Antonia was born in Del Rio to Juan and Martha Rodriguez. She moved to Amarillo in 1973. Antonia had a loving heart and was loved my many. She was known as abuela, grandma and conyo to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed making tortillas and beans for her family. Antonia lived by faith to the end and wishes her family health and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anastacio Cordero; daughter, Velma Segura; 2 grandsons, Dusty Entrekin and Danny Villegas; and a sister Lala Aguero.
She is survived by four daughters, Virginia Villegas, Mary Rodriguez and husband Santos, Lupita Mendoza, all of Amarillo, and Janie Villegas and husband Frank of Dumas; four sons, Eugene and wife Delia, Joe, Cruz and wife Frances all of Amarillo and Jesse of Austin; brother, Juan Rodriguez of San Jose, CA; 35 grandchildren; 123 great-grandchildren and 186 great-great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to New Life Embassy Church, 406 Pittsburgh, Amarillo, Tx 79104.
