Brenda LaVerne Mestas, 54, of Amarillo, died on Monday, August 22, 2016 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Trinity Fellowship North Campus, 503 East Willow Creek Dr., Amarillo with Pastor Bo Williams officiating. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St., Amarillo, Texas 79103.
Brenda was born on October 27, 1961 in Amarillo to Franklin and LaVerne Pate. She married Rick Mestas on January 3, 1983 in Amarillo. Brenda loved music, karaoke and singing. She and Rick shared a love for greyhounds and raised and bred them for many years. She was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Most importantly, she loved Jesus. He was her everything and prayed daily as she walked with Him. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship North Campus.
She was preceded in death by her fathers, Franklin Pate and Jim Brannam.
Brenda is survived by her husband Rick Mestas of Amarillo; her mother, LaVerne Tow of Amarillo; three daughters, Candace Clark and husband Keven, Tendera Mestas and husband Daniel Diaz, and Teresina Duncan and husband Joshua, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Tina Hanson and husband Dan of Colorado Springs, CO and Lori Fraser and husband Michael of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren, Moses Norris, Angelina Clark, Manesa Diaz, Ricky Mestas, Aniah Mestas, Aliya Clark, Jeremiah Duncan and Izabella Clark, all of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity Fellowship North Campus.
