On December 22, 2023, Charles William Henderson III went to join his wife in Heaven. He was 89 years old.
Charles was born on June 11, 1934, in Millville, NJ. He is survived by his 3 children: Darlene Ruth Reaves of Pinetta, FL, Connie Annette Kelley of Amarillo, TX, and Charles Lance Henderson also residing in Amarillo; 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Charles was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps who fought in the Korean War. He married his high school sweetheart in 1957, Marian Ruth Watson-Henderson (1937-2022). They were married for 65 years before her passing last year. He was a Scientific Glassblower by trade for over 50 years, but was also a pilot and an avid cartoonist. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was very kind-hearted and caring. He loved animals of all sorts, loved music and many sports.
Charles lived a full life and will be greatly missed.
