Rosary will be prayed Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Angel Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral with Msgr. Harold Waldo celebrating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St.
Consuelo was born November 8, 1921 to Santiago and Martina Hernandez in Lockhart Texas. She volunteered at the Wesley Community Center for 18 years. She also volunteered for Sr. Citizens Center, Meals on Wheels and helped cook at the Independent Village where she lived. She was a Guadalupana at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for years and was more recently a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Telesforo Guzman and grandson-in-law David Czewski.
Consuelo is survived by four daughters, Mary Marrugo and husband Rudy, Georgia Saucedo and husband Felix, Lupe Ortiz and Marta Florentino and husband Vicente; three sons, Telesforo Guzman Jr. and wife Mary, Andres Guzman and wife Anita and Juan Guzman and wife Karen; grandchildren, Carolyn Osborne and husband Desmond, Rudy Marrugo Jr., Patty Copeland, Jimmy Marrugo, Veronica Czewski, Irma Burney and husband Nick, Delia Durham and Scott Weaver, Victoria Saucedo, Otila Consuelo Marks & Jess Hunter, Naya Celisia Saucedo, Johnny Crespin & wife Sheree, Renee Alvarez & husband Ken, Mac Shardein & wife, Tonya, Richard Guzman & wife, Zeniada, Michelle Jackson and husband Rodrigo, Melissa Riley and husband David, Andres Guzman, Jr., Diana Kastanek, Albert Guzman, Monica Guzman, Rebecca Guzman, Elena Guzman, John Paul Guzman, Esteban Florentino and wife Joyce, Roger Florentino and wife Jeannette and Maricela Salazar and husband Augustine; 61 great grandchildren; 31 great–great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandchild. Consuelo was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
