Danny Ray Johnson, passed away on September 26th, 2022, in Amarillo, TX, at the age of 64.

A celebration of Danny's life is pending at this time.

Danny, was born in Forth Worth, Texas, on April 17, 1958, but he said many times he got to New Mexico as fast as he could. Danny, was a die hard New Mexico Lobos Fan, Dallas Cowboys fan, Boston Celtics fan, and made it a goal to never miss a game. In his early life Danny held multiple boxing titles and kick boxing championships, even winning tough man championship in Albuquerque in the 60’s. Danny, held a black belt in kickboxing and didn’t let anyone forget it. Danny, married his soulmate Luzely Johnson in 2002. The two met while Danny was working in a local hotel in Amarillo, TX, that Luzely was employed in at the time. The rest was history, in a short month Danny packed his belongings in a small van and left his home in Albuquerque, NM, where he was living at the time. He never looked back, Luzely and Danny have been married for 20 beautiful years.

Danny worked 18 years at AISD, until he became ill, holding multiple positions, but his long time head custodian job at Amarillo High School was his proudest, he loved the Sandies. Danny was a dear friend to many. He loved his dogs, bull terriers, and knew more big foot facts than anyone around. He loved Gunsmoke and swore he was only resting his eyes in between scenes. Danny was known for making the best turkey during thanksgiving and made sure you knew it.

Danny was blessed with a large and loving family. Danny is survived by his wife: Luzely, his daughters: Dwila Allen, Shan Allen, Linda Allen, Shantel Johnson, and Stephani Serna, his brother: David Johnson, 14 grandkids and 5 great-grand children.
