Obituary

Debrah Jean Anderson, 63, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on October 11, 2026.

The family invites you to join them for a celebration of Debrah's life on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10 am in the Angel Funeral Home's Chapel of Angels, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, Texas.

Debrah, AKA - Debi, Deb, Crazy Lady - was a free spirit through and through. A hippie chick at heart, she believed in peace, love, good music, and living life in her own way. She had a personality as big as her heart, a wild and spastic streak that kept people on their toes, and a sense of humor that could light up a room. Debrah never met a stranger, and if you happened to run into her, you better get comfortable — because she could talk for hours without taking a breath! At least, that’s how it seemed.

Born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, Debrah graduated from Alamo Catholic High School and went on to work in the hospitality industry, spending her career working in hotels. She loved listening to rock music from the ’70s and ’80s, or really any music, and she carried that free-spirited energy with her throughout her life.

Debrah’s life was not without its struggles. She faced the challenges of addiction, and her journey was far from perfect. But her story did not end with those struggles. In her final chapter, Debrah found her way to sobriety, and she passed away sober. That is a part of her story worth remembering and honoring — a reminder that even after difficult roads and hard seasons, there is still room for change, hope, and healing.

She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward, including her three children, five grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers, and a whole lot of nieces and nephews who made up her extended family.

Debrah was preceded in death by her parents, her son Chad, and her sister Diana.

She will be remembered for her free spirit, her love of classic rock, her endless conversations, her unpredictable personality, and the unmistakable way she moved through the world. She was a complicated, one-of-a-kind woman who lived a life that was uniquely hers.

May she now rest in peace, surrounded by the peace and love she cherished so much. And wherever she is, we can only imagine she has found some good rock music, a few new strangers to talk to, and absolutely no intention of keeping the conversation short.

Peace, love, and rest easy, Debrah. You will not be forgotten
