Destany Dawn Ramos

Destany Dawn Ramos, age 47, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, December 11, 2023 in Amarillo, Texas.

Destany's life will be celebrated on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Angel Funeral Home Chapel of Angels, 2209 S. Arthur.

Destany was born in Memphis, Texas on April 10,1976, to her parents Manuela “Nellie” Ramos and Rhondey Earl Lamb.

Destany was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend; always willing to lend a helping hand no matter the size of the project. She was graduate of Amarillo High School. Following high school, her love for working with people with special needs led her to be a dedicated, and hardworking caretaker at Advo companies. She will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh, warm personality and generous heart.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Yolanda Garza Ramos and Agapito Ramos. Her paternal grandparents Clara May Cooper and Chris May. Her brother Jason Ramos, cousins Gabriel Garza Jr. and Marinda Ramos, nephew Damon Johnson, Jr.

Destany leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Manuela “Nellie” Ramos, and her father Rhondey Earl Lamb. Her three sons, Timothy Ray Washington Jr (Katie), DeVante Rashad Ramos and DeAndre Allaza Ramos. Her beloved grandchildren Jordan Ramos, Jaliyah Ramos, Jaylee Ramos and Josiah Ramos. Three sisters Nickkolina Bliss Green (Matthew), Twila Reed, and Antonya “Neil” Lamb. Two brothers Randy Matthews, Quad`re “LaRon” Lamb. Five nieces Jaycee Green, Skylee Green, Fynlee Green, Mercedez Nash, and Brooklyn Watkins. Two nephews, LeMichael “Mike” Matthews, RJ Matthews, and many other loving family members and friends.

The funeral service will be on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S Arthur, Amarillo, TX 79104. Destany will be laid to rest alongside her grandmother Yolanda Garza Ramos.
