Dorothy Mosley 92, formerly of Dumas, died in Amarillo on October 10, 2015.
Grave services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery in Plainview, Texas. Dr. Roger Smith of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church will officiate. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home; 2209 S. Arthur St.; Amarillo, TX.
Mrs. Mosley was born in Norman, OK, on July 20, 1923 to James and Teeley Hill. She attended high school in Seymore and college at TWU in Denton, TX. She lived in Lockney 55 years and in the 1950’s made cheerleader’s uniforms, and served the football team meals. She then moved to too Dumas, living there for 30 years, and while living there also fed the football team. After moving to Dumas she was office manager for J.C. Penney’s for 27 years and also served for 7 years as a Rose Ladies at the Dumas Hospital. She was very proud that both her sons served two tours in Vietnam.
Mrs. Mosley had been residing at Good Life Assisted Living in Amarillo since 2013.
The family will receive guest at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur tonight from 6 PM until 7 PM.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard L . Mosley.
She is survived by two sons, Mick Mosley and wife Lynda of San Diego, CA and Terry Mosley and his wife Gail of Amarillo, TX; seven Grandchildren and twelve Great-grandchildren
