Dr. Daniel Ray Baggett, 79, of Plainview, Texas, died on July 10, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas.

Daniel was born in Odessa, Texas on January 10, 1947, to Huie Wesley and Mildred Electo (Vickers) Baggett. He received his formal schooling in Levelland, Texas, and was a 1964 graduate of Levelland High School. Daniel would attend South Plains Junior College and then moved onto San Jacinto Junior College in Pasadena in 1967. He then enrolled at Texas Chiropractic College from 1967-1972 where he received his Doctorate’s Degree in Chiropractic Medicine.

On August 9, 1975, Daniel married Nelvin Marie Arnold. Together they started their family, welcoming their son Douglas in 1977, and completing their family with the birth of their daughter, Jenny, in 1979.

Daniel began practicing in Pasadena alongside Dr. Donald Clark until 1980. The family relocated to Tulia, Texas where he opened his first practice. After six years, they would open the second practice in Plainview in 1986. The family would again relocate, this time to Plainview where Daniel operated both practices until the closing of the Tulia location in 2015. He would operate the Plainview location for another ten years until his retirement in 2025. Daniel deeply enjoyed his work and helping people through chiropractic care. He was proud of the fact that he was able to help serve the public for fifty years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns and in his later years developed a love for cooking.

Daniel is survived by his children, Douglas and Jenny; and his former wife and lifelong best friend, Nelvin.
