Earl Gene Clark

Services Information:A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Wellington, Texas.   Derwin Comer will officiate.  Local arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur.Bio: Mr. Clark was born in Bowie to Orval and Susie Kilcrease Clark on July 30, 1924.  He served in the United States Navy in the Marine Corp Division from March 1943 until February 1946.  HE was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal Mr. Clark married Barbara Bartlett on Feb 16, 1947 in Wellington.  For over 35 years.  Mr. Clark partnered with his brother in law, Henry Sullivan in the Chevrolet Dealership in Wellington.  He was a long time, active member in the FBC in Wellington. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara and one sister, Bennie Sullivan. He is survived by two sons, Kent Clark and wife Judy of Wellington and Jim Clark of Hollis, OK; three grandsons, Joe Clark and wife Bonnie of Vinson and their daughters Jacey and Josey of Vinson OK, Jason Clark of Houston, TX and his children Skeet and Charlie Jen of Longview, TX and Toby Clark and wife Tressie of McKinney, Texas.
