Elizabeth Sarai Garza

Amarillo

The Lord came unexpectedly on Sunday, November 19, 2023 to call back one of his most beautiful souls.  He let us enjoy the life of Elizabeth Sarai (Liz) Garza-Blount for 28 years.

Both families request that you please respect their wishes in following the below visitation schedule.  Visitation for the Serrano-Garza families will take place on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Visitation for the Perez-Blount families will follow from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Following the family visitations, both families will receive guests from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Graveside services will be held in Llano Cemetery East on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 1:00pm, with Pastor Rudy Sanchez presiding.

God granted us the most beautiful smiles through Liz. She moved with grace and love no matter what the situation.  Every room she walked into, she would light up with her smile.  The most beautiful and sincere heart could be seen through Liz’s eyes and actions.  She never said no to anyone in need.  Always taking on the most difficult tasks to make sure everyone was happy.   And she never complained.  One would never know her situation of struggle or suffering because her beautiful face always had a smile.  Liz was an awesome mother of three handsome boys.  She was recently engaged to the father of her children, Samuel O’Neal (Buddah) Blount.  He proposed to Liz on August 7th, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mama Chelo, only by a month ago.

She is survived by her parents, Tomas Garza and Toni Serrano, her oldest brother, Israel Garza with one niece; her sister and best friend, Keila Garza with two nephews; her younger brother, Naason Garza with one niece; and her youngest brother, Tomas Garza Jr with a niece and a nephew.  Liz is also survived by lots more family and friends that became family for her throughout the years.  Liz is also survived by her fiancé, Samuel O’Neal Blount, their three children, Samuel, Emmanuel, and Nathanael Blount and her mother-in-law, Reyna Perez and family.
