Enrique Ramirez

Enrique “Ricky” Ramirez, 71, of Amarillo, passed peacefully in the hospital with his loving family by his side on February 11, 2024.

A celebration of Enrique’s life will be held on February 18, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur St.,  with pastor Chris Condit presiding.

Enrique was born April 17th, 1952, in Amarillo, Texas, to his parents, Trinidad and Juanita Ramirez. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth “Lisa” Ann, in junior high and they were together until her death in 2002. In his youth, he would spend time making burritos for the homeless and would sit and drink with them to keep them company.

Enrique loved his kids and family so much, he would do anything for any one of them, even give up his last dime. No matter how he was feeling, he was always sweet, caring and made everyone laugh and smile. His heart was so big, and he would always open his house and wallet up to anyone. He loved company and getting to meet new people. He enjoyed cooking, watching football, going on car rides, and spending time with his friends and family.

Enrique is preceded in death by: his parents Trinidad and Juanita Ramirez, his wife Elizabeth “Lisa” Ann Ramirez, and his sibling Johnny Ramirez.

Enrique is survived by: his siblings Lola, Fred, and Sal, Chris, Gloria, Victoria, and Carlos, Ray, Mike, Lisa, and Anna; His children: Johnny Earl Ramirez, Sr., Joel Ramirez, and Melissa Anna Knight. His grandchildren: Aaron Knight, Joshua Knight, Siarah Ramirez, Mariah Ramirez, Israel Ramirez, Jasmine Ramirez, Johnny Ramirez, Jr., and Jade Ramirez. His great-grandchildren: Zaniyah, Jordan Jr., Xaveon and Toni, and Anthony and Zae.
