Ernest “Fred” Green, 75, of Amarillo passed away on Monday May 5,2025.

Fred was born in Odessa Texas. First born child of Frank and Lois Green. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Green of 26 years, his daughters Whitney Crisp and Danika Carr, and 7 grandchildren Patrick, Jeremiah, Kiara, Anthony, Brody, Skylar, and Remington and his sister Charlotte Abernathy and several nieces and nephews. His Uncle and Aunt Roy and Annette Green of Amarillo. Including his cousins Elizabeth, Mike, Jodi, and Richard.

He was proceeded in death by his mother and father Frank and Lois Green, his brother Kenneth Green, and his son in law Montana Brumback.

Fred loved racing of all kinds. His favorite nascar racer was Dale Earnhardt Sr. He worked at Texas Motor Speedway for many years, building stages for driver introductions and pre race shows. He was a carpenter for 20+ years.

When he retired he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed going to the races and the lake on a hot summer days and have a nice cold beer. Fred always had a smile on his face no matter the day or situation.

Fred will be missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren of Amarillo. His family will always keep his memory alive and he will never be forgotten. Give heaven some hell, our sweet papa. Save us a seat…
