Felix Mata Mendoza, 61, of Amarillo died November 26, 2015 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 30, 2015 in Angel Funeral Home, Chapel of Angels, 2209 S. Arthur with Pastor Alejandro Rodarte of Trinity Fellowship officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.
Felix was born November 28, 1953 in Carrizo Springs to Arturo and Nicolasa Mendoza.
Felix was a loving man with a huge heart. He enjoyed watching movies and although he had many friends and large loving family he insisted living life on his own terms. The delight and joy of his life was his granddaughter Briana, each time he saw her, his eyes would light up.
The family will receive guest at the funeral home today, Sunday December 29th from 1:00-5:00 P.M.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers and his beloved son, Felix Mendoza Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Lorraine Blades and her husband Bryan of Amarillo; two sisters, Sylvia Mendoza and Juana Carr; his former wife and friend, Rosa Perez; his granddaughter, Briana and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Tyler Street Resource Center 200 South Tyler Amarillo, TX 79101.
