Fermin L. Rubio age 65 of formally of Amarillo died April 17 in Colorado Springs.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 24th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Father Jose Gomez. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur.
Fermin was born in Lubbock, TX. He worked as the foreman of janitorial services for AISD until his retirement in 2006 after 18 years of service. He had recently moved to Colorado to be close to his daughter and family.
Fermin was preceded by father Arturo Rubio and mother Clotilde Rubio and four Brothers Eloy Rubio, Julio Rubio, Joe Rubio and Rosario Rubio.
He is survived by his daughter, Maria Romero of Colorado Springs, his two sons, Martin and Mario Rubio both of Amarillo; two brothers Tomas Rubio, Arturo Rubio(Rebecca ) and three sisters Guadalupe Hernandez(Manuel), Viola Rubio all of Lubbock, Mary Romero( Johnny) of Amarillo and fourteen grandchildren.
