Fidel Velazquez

Fidel Velazquez of Amarillo, Texas, passed from this life on March 19, 2024 at the age of 62.  He was born in Durango, Mexico to Alberto Velazquez and Alicia Salazar.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 5:00-7:00pm, at Angel Funeral Home’s Chapel of Angels, 2209 S Arthur.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 10:00am at Angel Funeral Home with Father Taylor Elzner of St. Laurence Catholic Church presiding. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery.

Fidel was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed watching soccer and he was a hard worker until his health declined.

Fidel is preceded in death by his parents and sister Lydia Velazquez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Yolanda Armenta; his brothers, Jamie Velazquez, Hector Velazquez, Sergio Velazquez and Jorge Velazquez. His memory will also be shared by nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
