Francisco Alcantar

Francisco Palacios, 76, of Amarillo died August 8, 2022.

Memorial service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

Francisco Javier Palacios Alcantar was born on July 28, 1946 in Istepec, Mexico to Jessie David and Candelaria Palacios Alcantar.

Francisco was a 1964 graduate of Nogales High School. He was a very well-respected welder and Pro Bass Fisherman. He married his wife Maria Del Rocio Guerrero in in 1992 and shortly after moved to Dalhart, Texas to continue his welding career. Francisco and Maria were members of the Catholic Church Community, St. Anthony (Dalhart) and St. Thomas (Amarillo). Francisco was an avid fisherman who spent most of his free time on the water or at his fishing shop, JV’s Fishing Baits. He loved his family and watching them fish along side him.

Francisco is survived by his wife Maria of Amarillo, Texas, daughters: Vanessa Alcantar and Jessica D Miron and husband Erick 2 grandchildren: Megan and Mason Miron.

He is preceded in death by his mother Candelaria, brother Joe and sister Martha.
