Fred Long, 75, of Amarillo, died Thursday, September 1, 2016. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Elks Lodge 932 Clyde St. Arrangements are with Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur Street.
Fred was born April 9, 1941 in Amarillo, Texas to John and Jeannette Long. He served in the Army and Army Reserves. He was married to Joyce Renfroe. Fred started working at Bell Helicopter in 1968 and retired in 2013.
Fred was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lynn Cooper and a daughter, Donna Marie Bailey.
He is survived by wife, Joyce Long; daughter, Linda Baugh and husband, of Blue River, Oregon; sons, Calvin Cooper and wife, and Doyle Cooper, both of Amarillo, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Christine Smart of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
