Gregorio Gloria, age 86 of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Memorial Mass will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Haider Quintero as celebrant. Burial is at Llano Cemetery in Mausoleum Chapel.
Greg was born on May 1, 1926 to Rodolfo and Jesusita Gloria in San Angelo, Texas. He lived most of his life in San Jose California retiring after more than 30 years from Mayfair Packing Company, which is also where he met his wife. He was a resident of Amarillo for more than 9 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Greg was a handyman and a jack of all trades including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. He was also known as “Grandpa Honey”. He was a dedicated San Francisco Giants fan!
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Connie Ramos, two daughters, Beatrice Gloria and Susie Hinojosa, his son Guillermo Gloria and one granddaughter.
Gregorio is survived by his wife; 6 daughters, Norma Guiterrez and husband Scott, Jessica Marrufo and spouse Paula Robbins, all of Amarillo, Edna Aleman and husband Victor of San Antonio, Sandra Tobias and husband Joey, Lupe Navarro, all of San Jose, CA., Mary Ann Navarro of Sacramento, CA.; and a son Gregorio Gloria and wife Elsa of Amarillo, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
