Lupe Rodriguez, Jr. 48 of Amarillo died May 19, 2022.
A celebration of Lupe’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11am at Power Church, 1344 SE 10th in Amarillo with Pastor Manny De Los Santos presiding. Cremation arrangements are in the Care of Angel Funeral Home of Amarillo.
Lupe was a father, brother, uncle, son, and a friend. If you were blessed to know him, you knew the true heart he had and the love he spread. Lupe was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved watching football on Sunday’s with his family while cooking on the grill. He was a giver, he would give you his last to make sure you were okay. If he had it and you needed it, it was yours. Lupe never asked for recognition, he just did it out of love for helping others. Lupe was a lover of life who jumped at the opportunity to enjoy every day with his loved ones. He loved lake time with the family during summer.
Lupe’s kids and grandkids were the center of his world. He spent every chance he had with them. He loved his entire family with his whole heart, and that love was reciprocated by his family. He possessed a heart and love that will truly be missed.
He is preceded in death by grandmothers, Margarita Diaz and Margarita Rodriguez; grandfather, Frank Rodriguez; and uncle, Tony Diaz.
Lupe is survived by his girlfriend, Ryan Riggs of Amarillo; 3 daughters, Corissa Rodriguez of Amarillo, Trinity Rodriguez of Fort Worth, and Madison Rodriguez of Amarillo; stepdaughter, Crimsun Nunn of Amarillo; 3 sons, Antonio Rodriguez, Estevan Rodriguez, and Francisco Rodriguez all of Amarillo; 4 sisters, Margarita Rodriguez of Amarillo, Margie Gonzalez of Amarillo, Veronica Allred of Del Rio, and Amber Plasencio of Amarillo; 5 brothers, Tony Rodriguez of Amarillo, Ray Plasencio of Amarillo, Juan Rodriguez of Del Rio, Daniel Plasencio of Amarillo, and Mark Hefley of Amarillo; parents, Frances Plasencio (Ramon) of Amarillo and Guadalupe Rodriguez (Delma) of Del Rio; and grandchildren, Geovanni De La Cruz, Estevan Rodriguez, Kaeleigh Rodriguez, and Rose Rodriguez all of Amarillo.
