Henry Flores

Henry Flores, age 64, died Monday, June 18, 2012.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21, at Chapel of the Angels, Angel Funeral Home.  Funeral mass is 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Rev. Jose Gomez as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.

Mr. Flores was born in Brighton, Colorado and was raised in San Angelo, Texas.  He moved to Amarillo where he lived with his wife of 32 years, Helen.  Henry proudly served his country in the Army.

Mr. Flores was a loving husband and father. He was also a great provider and a very hard worker.  Not only was he a father to his children, but also to his grandchildren.  Many family members and friends considered him their role model.  He loved being outside and enjoyed camping, working on his lawn and garden, or just spending time with his family, enjoying good food and music.

Thank you Lord for letting us be in his life.  Henry will be missed and remembered by many people.  We love you always and forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Ponce Flores; a sister, Diane Flores; a brother, Henry Flores, Jr.; a daughter, Samantha Flores; and a son, Henry Flores, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; his children, Gloria Flores, Rachel Medina and husband, Albert, Patricia Flores, Enrique Flores, Angela Flores, Sierra Flores; sisters, Mary Sierra and husband Ruben and Dolores Zamora, and husband, Jessie; brothers, Jose Flores, Juan Flores, Charlie Chambers and wife, Lisa, Frank Flores; and 12 grandchildren.
