Funeral Mass: Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez as Celebrant. Burial is at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Ignacio was born on August 22, 1943 to Jesús and Piedad Arevalo in La Pieded, Michoacan, Mexico. He and his wife of 43 years, Teresa, moved to the United States to build a family and make a better life for them.
He enjoyed gardening He was a fan of a variety of music and enjoyed singing. His children describe him as a simple, humble, loving man. He was a family man and was kindhearted. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and bestowed each of them with a special nickname. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Luis Arevalo and a sister María DeJesus.
Ignacio is survived by his wife, Teresa; one son, Ignacio Arevalo, Jr.; 4 daughters, Leticia Marquez, Guadalupe Peña, María Juana Paredes and her husband Joel and Graciela Aragon; 3 sisters, Victoria Duarte, Lucia Arevalo and María Arevalo; one brother Antonio Arevalo; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
