Isaac Koy

Isaac Koy, 46, of Vernon, Texas, passed away on November 26, 2025.

Viewing will be held from 9 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur in Amarillo. A prayer service will follow the viewing at 10:30 am. Burial will follow the conclusion of the prayer service at Llano Cemetery.

Isaac was born on February 14, 1979, in Myanmar to Saw Htoo and Naw Eh Lay. He relocated to the United States in 2007 and obtained his permanent residency in 2008. While living in the Texas Panhandle, Isaac began working as a laborer in the beef-packing industry. He was an educated man who studied medicine while living in Thailand.

Isaac was incredibly helpful and found great joy in charity work within his community. He was deeply devoted to his Christian faith and served the Karen community with great passion. Isaac also loved music and would sing not only praise and worship music, but also whatever happened to catch his ear.

Isaac is preceded in death by his mother, Naw Eh Lay. Those left to cherish his memories are his sisters, K’lu Mu and Wah Paw, brothers, K Klu Say and K Tar Hser, and his father, Saw Htoo; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family, and dear friends.
