Jaime Aguayo Caballero, de 74 años, residente de Amarillo, falleció el 5 de octubre de 2025.

La familia recibirá a sus invitados el lunes 20 de octubre de 2025, de 17:00 a 18:00 h, en la Funeraria Schooler, ubicada en 4100 S. Georgia. El rosario comenzará a las 18:00 h. La misa se celebrará el martes 21 de octubre de 2025 a las 10:00 h en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, ubicada en 1210 SE 11th, presidida por el Padre Taylor Elzner. El entierro se realizará a continuación en el Cementerio de Llano.

Jaime nació el 17 de abril de 1951, hijo de Gonzalo Caballero y Mercedes Aguayo, en México. Se mudó a Estados Unidos y se estableció en el Panhandle de Texas. A Jaime le encantaba cocinar, especialmente tacos. Ya fuera para sí mismo o para sus amigos y familiares, disfrutaba de estar en la cocina o tras la parrilla. Jaime era muy conversador y disfrutaba de una buena conversación. Jaime también disfrutaba mucho coleccionando antigüedades, pero su posesión más preciada era el amor que sentía por sus sobrinos. Era un devoto y fiel seguidor de Cristo y asistía a la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

A Jaime le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y cuatro hermanos: Ricardo, Arnoldo, Jorge y Aurelio. Quienes atesoran su recuerdo son sus hermanas, Ester Castillo y Rosalba García (Arturo Herrera), su hermano, Manuel Caballero, así como sus sobrinos.

Jaime Aguayo Caballero, 74, of Amarillo, passed on October 5, 2025.

The family will receive guests on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 5 pm to 6 pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Rosary will begin at 6 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1210 SE 11th, with Father Taylor Elzner presiding. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery.

Jaime was born on April 17, 1951, to Gonzalo Caballero and Mercedes Aguayo in Mexico. He moved to the United States and settled down in the Texas Panhandle. Jaime loved to cook, especially tacos. Rather for himself, or for his friends and family, he enjoyed being in the kitchen or behind the grill. Jaime was very talkative and enjoyed a good conversation. Jaime also really enjoyed collecting antiques, but his most cherished possession was his love for his nieces and nephews. He was a devoted and faithful follower of Christ and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Jaime is preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings, Ricardo, Arnoldo, Jorge, and Aurelio. Those left to cherish his memories are his sisters, Ester Castillo, and Rosalba Garcia (Arturo Herrera), brother, Manuel Caballero; as well as his nieces and nephews.
