Son of late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Moore Jr. of Ulysses, Kansas
As a school teacher James was an expert in coaching, small engine mechanics, metal shop, wood shop, and industrial arts. He taught in Ulysses, Ks and Amarillo, TX where he retired after 31 years of service.
During his college years he played football and ran track where he excelled at throwing the javelin. He played college football and ran track for Emporia State.
James had a passion for family and friend and took every opportunity to spend time with them any time the opportunity was presented.
James is survived by sons: Delon Moore of Amarillo, TX, and Isaac Moore of Farmington, Nm, grandsons Gage Moore of Waco, TX, Kieran Moore of Amarillo, TX, and Deklan Moore of Amarillo, TX. He is survived by three sisters: Debbie Jones of Florence, AZ, Karen Frank of Gilbert, AZ, and Hazel Siegrist of Grand Prarie, TX, and a brother Walt Moore of Hutchinson, Ks.
