Amarillo

Jesus Manuel Castellanos, born on June 16, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family.

The family will host a private celebration of life at a later date.

He was born to Alfredo Castellanos and Elida Ozuna, who preceded him in death, along with his four brothers, his beloved wife Vivian “Mary” Alvarez Castellanos, and his son Vito Castellanos.

Jesus proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from June 1965 until September 30, 1985, serving honorably during the Vietnam War. In 1966, while stationed in Amarillo, Texas, he met and married the love of his life, Vivian “Mary” Alvarez, beginning a lifelong journey filled with love and family.

He is survived by his children: Jesus and Laurie Castellanos; Brenda and Nick Biscoglio; Vanessa Castellanos and Joe Villarreal, Nina and Willie Lopez; and Sara and Joey Rendon. His legacy continues through his 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Jesus was a loving and caring man who found his greatest joy in his family. He adored his children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to celebrate them. Whether it was attending birthday parties or cheering them on at their sports events, he was always present. He loved dancing, telling jokes, and acting silly just to make his loved ones laugh—his humor and warmth touched everyone who knew him.

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.

Fly high, Popo Claus. We love you and will miss you dearly. IYKYK.
