Johnny L. Youngblood, 81, of Amarillo, died on October 27, 2016.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Angel Funeral Home’s Chapel of Angels. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega. Arrangements by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, TX 79103.
Johnny was born on June 16, 1935 in Amarillo to John Henry and Elmina Lillie Youngblood. He married Merna Sue Miller in 1967 and she preceded him in death on November 3, 2002. Johnny worked for Maywood for 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He enjoyed watching old westerns with actors like John Wayne and Gene Autry. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one sister, Geneva Hinchey; and two brothers, Gerald Youngblood and David Youngblood.
Johnny is survived by one daughter, Alison Mullican and husband Darren, of Amarillo; one brother, Billy Schwartz of Ft. Worth; three grandchildren, Marcie Flores and husband Joe, Courtney Christian, and Amber Edwards; and four great grandchildren, Anthony Flores, Aaron Flores, Abreanna Christian and Alexis Flores, all of Amarillo.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2016.
