Jose Refugio Lozano

José Refugio Lozano, age 83, of Amarillo, died Monday, August 6, 2012. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of the Angels, Angel Funeral Home, with Pastor Misaél Alvarado officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, Texas.
José was born December 11, 1928 in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico to José María Lozano and Lina Carmona. He married Florita Escamilla and their marriage lasted over 50 years until her passing. After he became ill, his best nurses were his two granddaughters, Gabriella and Crystal. They were always there to help him with all his needs and were always there to watch over him until his passing. He loved them and always talked about them as his “Caring Angels”. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florita; and a daughter, Bea Ramirez.
He is survived by six daughters, Juanita Davila and husband Arthur from Scroggins, Herlinda Lozano, Heloiza Gaytan, both of Lubbock and Sara Martinez, Elizabeth Lozano and Rosa Moctezuma and husband Juan, all of Amarillo; two sons, Jose Luis Lozano of Lubbock and Servando Lozano of Tulsa, Ok.
