Josephine "Josie" Solis Elizalde

Josephine Solis Elizalde, age 82, of Amarillo died peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, surrounded by her loving family.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at Iglesia Bautista Fuente Viva 2709 S. Manhattan with Rev. Fredy Pavez officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur.
Josie was born in Amarillo on December 9, 1932. She had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. Her hobbies were gardening, quilting, sewing, and serving others. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Rita Beltran.
She is survived by her companion of 35 years, Daniel Martinez; her four sons, Freddy Beltran of San Antonio, Larry Beltran, Loyd Lamberson and Jimmy Elizalde, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Antonio Solis, and John Solis and wife Betty; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many friends.
