Josie Moreno Perez, 81, of Amarillo, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on Oct 26, 2023

The family will receive guests on Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Angel Funeral Home. Josie's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, Oct 31, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Angel Funeral Home Chapel of Angels, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, Texas. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 Interstate 40.

Josie M Perez lived with only one intent: to lead people to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Her guiding light was to share God's word with everyone she encountered. When she asked Jesus into her heart, there was no turning back, and she wanted everyone to know of the Jesus that saved her and transformed her life.

She was also known for her beautiful smile and sunglasses and her genuine heart for people. Especially her love for her family, those near and far. She was a prayer warrior, daily lifting up her family and others to the throne of God.  She was always willing to help others with her time, wisdom, leadership, and loving heart.

Josie M Perez was born July 25, 1942, in Taft, Texas, to her parents, Luz and Filomena Moreno.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, Luz and Filomena Moreno, her husband Ernesto M Perez, her oldest son Ernesto M Perez Jr., and her youngest son, Elroy M Perez.

Josie is survived by three brothers, Tony, Juan, and Joe Moreno. 2 daughters, Estella P Cantu and Esmeralda P Campolla, and one son, Eddie M Perez, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
