Joyce Ann Northam Impola, 80, of Amarillo, TX,  born February 26, 1942 passed on August 22, 2022.

Although her body died, her soul lives on.

Her Life Service will be held 12:00  Saturday, 27 August 2022, at her grand daughter's church, Family Life Church, 3900 SW 58th, Amarillo, TX.  Arrangements are in the care of Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S Arthur.

Joyce lived a full and rich life, giving her all to all she met and knew. She had a kind, patient, listening ear and heart and treated people with dignity and loving-kindness, as if each and every one were important,  because they were in her heart.

In her professional life, she worked 16 years at SPS (aka Xcel), Energas, the Amarillo Police Department, Star Equipment,  Beasley Alarms, and Paramount Theater on Polk Street.  After her retirement from SPS, Joyce was a caregiver,  first of her great grandson,  Sage Biggers; then of Ruth Snellgrove.  She then worked for Dr L A White, Jr. for about 7 years, until she was 79 years old.

In her personal life, she attended St. Michael's Academy in Dallas, TX, where some of her more memorable "Grammy" stories happened.  She also attended Amarillo College,  studying psychology.

Joyce married John E Impola, Jr. in 1959.  They had 3 children; Edina Impola Cullipher,  Patricia Diane Riley, and John Charles Impola.

Joyce served many spiritual communities, with compassion, through the spiritual gifts of psychic/spiritual insight, vision, and healing.

She dedicated her life to serving Christ and enjoyed a deeply personal relationship with Jesus.

The Light of  Christ walked with her daily and guided her throughout her life.

She served as Reverend for the Church of Christ Light.  She was also a certified Reiki III Master, teacher, and a certified hypnotist.

She was a longtime member of the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE), studying with the Amarillo Search for God study groups for years in the 1970's.  The lessons she learned became a part of her life.

Joyce enjoyed drawing, writing and conversations about anything spiritual, as well as all her children and grandchildren.

She has published writing in several publications,  including Spirit Speaks.  And has extensive writing on two fictional novels, "Dazzle", and "Luigi, Child of Light".  She has compiled a manuscript of her "Shar" material,  "Rosebud, Whisper Thy Name".

Joyce has many fond memories of the farm near Quanah, Childress, Borger, dancing at the Nat Ballroom on 6th and McMaster's in Amarillo, her time at St. Michael's Academy and of her children, grandchildren and many friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her mother,  Dorothy Marie Bremer Brown (1916 - 1986), her father James Albert Northam, her stepfather Charlie Patrick Brown (1910 - 1971),  her sister Gladys Faye Campbell (1938 - 2018), her brother James Billy Northam, her loving ex-husband John E Impola, Jr. (1938 - 1998) and her radiant daughter Patricia Diane Riley (1961 - 2022, Noble Flower).

Her living legacy include her loving children,  Edina, Diane and John; 8 grandchildren,  Karman, Brandi, Jason Dillion, Billy Joe (Trey), Shelby, Elle, Libby, and Alissa; 7 great grandchildren, Joel, Gabriel,  Mikey, Sage, Ean, Aspen Rose, and Florence; 2 great great grandchildren,  Brantley and soon to be born, Augustine. As well as friends and coworkers.

The many blessings of Joyce and Christ's Grace live on in each and every one of their lives and in their warm, loving, memories of her.
