Juan was born March 10, 1951 in Crystal City to Timoteo and Hortencia Alfaro. He proudly served in the U. S. Air Force.
He is survived by two daughters, Alma Leticia and Dorothy; one son, Dean Barra; four sisters, Virginia Fabela, Rosa Alfaro, Janie Fabela, and Martha Alfaro; and one brother, Robert Alfaro.
