Juanita Mirelez

Juanita Mirelez, 72, of Amarillo passed away August 6, 2021.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at The Church of God of Prophecy, 1125 N. Mirror St. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

Juanita was born June 22, 1949 in Rotan, TX to Fernando and Narcisa Hernandez. She was the spouse of Justo Mirelez of 39 years. Juanita was a housewife and an active member of The Church of God of Prophecy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Narcisa Hernandez; sisters, Petra Hernandez, Ramona Hernandez and Elisa Aleman; and her first born daughter, Estella Barrera.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Justo (Jay) Mirelez of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Lydia Gonzalez of Amarillo, TX; three sons, Victor Barrera and wife, Irene of Austin, TX, Valentin Barrera, Jr. and wife, Nora of Carlsbad, NM and Andy Gonzalez of Amarillo, TX; sister, Lupe Perez and husband, David of Olton, TX; brother-in-law, Frank Aleman of Amarillo, TX; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
