Judye Gayle Smith

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 19 at Sam Houston Park.  Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, TX.Judye was born January 5, 1951 in Amarillo, Texas, to Dub and Rubye Raper Dempsey.  She worked as a nurse, loved reading, doing crafts, and caring for her dogs.  She was a lifelong resident of Amarillo.Preceding her in death are her parents and daughter, Dawndye Dempsey.Survivors include son, Eric and his wife, Misty of Amarillo; daughter, Shanna Garrison and husband, Tracey of Amarillo; grandchildren Joseph Lucas, Ashley Cornelsen, and Brooklyn Lewis all of Amarillo.  Also surviving are cousins Jauanita Miller, Sam Raper and Donna Hendricksen; special friends Linda Cornelsen and J J. and Wayne Weaver.
