Julianita Frausto, age 81, of Amarillo, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Amarillo.
A rosary will be on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. The mass will be on Friday, February 6th, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The family will be gathering at 3801 South Roberts in the days preceding the service.
Julianita was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to Jose and Florencia Garcia Frausto and was one of fourteen children. She was a strong, independent, and proud woman who worked tirelessly to provide for her three sons, Daniel, Ray, and George. Though she was a strict parent, she loved her children immensely and instilled in them the values of hard work and dedication, believing that everything in life must be earned.
Julianita worked in housekeeping at BSA for more than fifteen years, where her strong work ethic and dedication earned her the honor of Employee of the Year.
She loved to cook and was happiest in her kitchen—though she preferred to be the only one there and was never shy about telling others when it was time to step out. Kind and generous with her family, Julianita treasured every moment spent with those she loved, as family was always her greatest priority.
Her only surviving son, Ray, lovingly shared, “I have three heroes in my life: “God, my mom, and Roger Staubach.”
Julianita will be remembered for her strength, devotion, and the deep love she had for her family, who will forever carry her lessons and spirit in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Daniel C. and George A. Frausto; her sisters, Elena, Margie, Tony, Josefina and Amelia; and her brothers, Michael and Tino Frausto.
Julianita is survived by her son, Joseph “Ray” Frausto and his wife Irma of Amarillo; three brothers, Raymond Frausto, Benny Frausto and Ricky Frausto and wife Norma; by eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jeneva, Anita, Christopher, Tyler, Austin, Caleb and Danielle; and by numerous great-grandchildren.
