Karen Sue Cavender, 73, of Perryton passed away on November 23, 2014.
A private farewell will be held. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Karen was born in Odis, Kansas on January 9, 1941 to Orville and Charlotte Manke. She grew up in Kansas, lived in Louisiana and Arkansas for a while before making Perryton her home for the past 17 years. Karen was an animal lover, and an avid collector of cat figurines.
She is survived by three sons, Don Ashcraft and wife Sheryl of Chandler, Oklahoma, Terry Ashcraft of Sacramento, California, Stuart DeHart and wife Christine of Perryton; two sisters Barbara Sleeper of Anthony, Kansas, and Donna Simon of Garden Plains, Kansas; a brother in law Joe Cavender and wife Pat of Quitman, Arkansas; seven grandchildren Chandy, Terry Don, Jeana, Tiffany, Ty, Tabitha, and Sasha; sixteen great-grandchildren; as well as many special friends.
Family suggests memorials be made to ASPCA or Humane Society
