Linda D. Sanders, a longtime resident of Amarillo, TX, passed away peacefully from a chronic illness on October 13, 2015 at the age of 73 years. A Memorial Celebration will be held for her at Victory Church, 6300 Arden Road in Amarillo, TX, on Saturday October 24, 2015, at 3p.m. Services are by Angel Funeral Home; 2209 S. Arthur; Amarillo
Linda was born in Wheeler, TX, on June 11, 1942 to James Edgar Walker and Jennie Pearl Gilmer. She lived most of her life in Amarillo, TX.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, James Lynn Carnagey; her first husband, James Austin Carnagey; her second husband, Bobby Travis Sanders and her sister, Sandra Jo White.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Pamela Carnagey Mitchell and her husband, Mark of Floresville, TX, Jeanette Carnagey King and her husband, Billy of Amarillo, TX; her brothers, J. R. Walker and his wife, Coela of Claude, TX, Steve Walker and his wife, Joyce of Wheeler, TX, Eddy Walker and his wife, Sheila of Waco, TX, Terry Walker and his wife, Frieda of Amarillo, TX ; her brother-in-law, James White of Richmond, TX.; her grandchildren: Misty Hulse, Preston Hulse, Robert Mitchell and Cody Mitchell; her great-grandchildren: Averie Hulse, Christian Knighton, Cali Dennis, Carma Hulse, Trinessey Hulse and Serenity Hulse and many nieces and nephews.
Linda will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She was always a joy to be around. Her laughter brightened up a whole room. She was always ready to take someone out to eat. She could always see the positive in everything and everyone. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. She will truly be missed.
