Lorenzo Carrillo, age 70, of Amarillo died June 24, 2012.
Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Chapel of the Angels,
Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, TX 79103. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Father Gabriel Garcia of St. Laurence Catholic Church officiating.
Lorenzo was born on March 5, 1942 in Rock Springs, Texas to Henaro and Gregoria Carrillo. He was a hard worker and was employed by Lamar Glass & Mirror in Sweetwater for 15 years, he farmed in Tulia for 10 years and worked in the cotton gins during the winters. After retirement, he worked maintenance at Sungate Apartments.
He enjoyed hanging out with his family, fishing and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys He is described by his children as being very loving and accepting of everyone.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Adelina and a son, Lorenzo Jr..
Lorenzo is survived by 2 daughters, Elsa Reyes and husband Hilly of Amarillo and Lisa Carrillo and partner Amy Tijerina of Hereford; 3 sons, Lorenzo “Loli” Carrillo and wife Ana of Killeen, Amador Carrillo and partner Juan Tenorio and Pantaleon “P.C.” Carrillo, all of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
