Louis Valdez, 68, of Amarillo, died on September 30, 2016 in Amarillo.
Memorial Services will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Angel Funeral Home, Chapel of Angels. Arrangements by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur, Amarillo, TX 79103.
Louis was born on July 2, 1948 in Vale, SD to Alberto and Enriquetta Valdez. Louis proudly served with the US Army in Vietnam. He married Jerrie in 1997 in Amarillo. He was an electrician and was involved in the construction of many buildings in the area including the Clements Unit, the Valero Plant on Western, and the Ambassador Hotel. He also loved cars and going to the Canadian River.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jerica Ruff; and three brothers, John, Frank and Victor Valdez.
Louis is survived by his wife, Jerrie; two daughters, Briana Casias and husband, Eddie and Michelle Reyna and husband, Aaron, all of Amarillo; four sisters, Linda Valdez, Yolanda Morris and husband, Doug, Dellisa Melvyn, all of Amarillo, and Denise King and husband, Robert of Sayre, OK; four brothers, Albert Valdez and wife, Karen of NC, Walter Valdez of Amarillo, David Valdez of Pueblo, CO, and Robert Valdez and wife, Georgina of Gallup, NM; five grandchildren, Eddie, Nathan and Darian Casias, and Zackery and Madeline Reyna; and many nieces and nephews.
