Mr. Ruiz was born in Midland to Augustine and Manuela Sanchez. He was a plumber.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; three sons Ralph Pineda, Jose Leon and Luiz Angel Rico; five sisters, Esther Estrada, Maria D. Sanchez, Yolanda Salas, Maria G. Ramirez, and Teresa Diaz and two brothers, George Rico and Augustine Sanchez
