Mark Edward Knight

Mark Edward Knight, 64, of Shamrock, Texas, went to our Heavenly Father on October 27, 2025.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on November 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Shamrock, Texas. Services are in the care of Angel Funeral Home of Amarillo, Texas. 

Mark was born on September 18, 1961, in Rockford, Illinois to Arnold Lee Knight and Joyce Elaine Clark. He graduated from Shamrock High School where he met his greatest love and lifelong partner, Tammy Watts. Together they raised four children, Jeff, Mouse, Brandy, and the baby, Dawn; as well as their grandsons, James and Jeffery Jr. The only thing he loved more than his kids was their momma.

A car lover, he spent most of his time as an automotive mechanic. He had a charm that drew people in, especially children. He could always be heard saying, “Kids are people too.” Rather it was as Dad, Papa, or Uncle Mark; his and their friends were included too.

Mark will be missed beyond measure from now until we see him again.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Lee Knight, son, Jeff Knight Sr, and son in law, John Diaz. Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Tammy, daughters Mouse Diaz, Brandy Knight, and Dawn Ryan and husband Wray. His legacy of grandsons, James Knight, Jeffery Knight Jr, Austin Diaz, Alex Diaz, Troy Knight, JJ Wright, Tyson Wright, and Adrian Ryan; granddaughters, Brittany “Little One” Bartlett, Jessie Wright, Carrie Wright, and Aubrey Ryan; and great-granddaughter, his pride and joy “Marie #4” Nevaeh Gallegos. He also leaves his brothers, Frank Knight, Bill Knight, Steven White and wife Christy, and Eldon White, sisters, Kim Bergstrom and husband Craig, Taire Ferguson and husband Robert, Amy Stokes and husband Tony, Rhonda Coleman, Trinkett Knight, and Penny McClure and husband Mark; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who became family.
