Marylee Fields Lockhart entered her heavenly home on October 31, 2023 in Amarillo.
A graveside service will be on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo, with Pastor Dan Barnes presiding.
Marylee was one of a kind. She was born April 30, 1953 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to her parents Howard and Lois Pamisino Fields. Her heart and love for her family, neighbors, and country were bigger than Texas! On January 23, 1970, she married her beloved husband James, whom she loved more than anything in this world, and they would share the next 52 years together. They were blessed with three loving sons; to them, she was the best Mom they could ever ask for. Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her such joy.
Like the innocence of a child, her intentions were pure and genuine. She never met a stranger and gave her heart to all she knew. She loved children and was the neighborhood Mom; the kids referred to her as Aunt Mary. If anyone needed anything, she was there to lend a hand. We were blessed to have her in our lives, and we know heaven is shining brighter because a true angel has returned home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Deborah Moore; and brothers Bill and Mark Fields.
Marylee is survived by her husband James of Amarillo; three sons, James Shane Lockhart of Amarillo, Joseph Wayne Lockhart and his wife Melissa of Mission, and Josh Lee Lockhart and his wife Misty of Diana, TX; her brother Tom Fields and his wife Julie; twelve grandchildren Halee, Bree, Wyatt, Emerie, James Lee and his wife Stevie, Devon Ray, Christa Marie, James and his wife Fey, Jonathan, Brodie and his wife Haley, and Mikayla and her husband James; as well as 17 great-grandchildren.
