Minnie Pearl Villarreal, age 71 of Amarillo died January 3, 2013.
Family will receive visitors at Angel Funeral Home between 3:30-5:00 PM on Saturday, January 5.
Funeral Service is at 2:30 on Sunday at Angel Funeral home with Rev. David Castro officiating. Burial is Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon.
Minnie Pearl was born January 9, 1941 in Amarillo to Robert M. and Jewel Mae Burgess.
She married Juan Villarreal in November, 1967 and they were married 45 years. She and her husband attended Victory Spanish Church. She served many years as a missionary to Monterrey. She had a big heart and raised several foster kids. She dedicated her life to extending herself to those in need and giving to others.
She is survived by her beloved husband; her children Cheri Lobos and husband Javier of Little Elm, Texas, Maria Villarreal and Lee Paul Villarreal; spiritual daughter, Consuelo; special niece, Debbie; 1 brother, Robert N. Burgess and wife Gaylene of Artesia, NM; 4 grandchildren, Paul, Christian, Hadassah and Hannah Lobos as well as other loving nieces and nephews.
