Pearl Ada (Anderson) Powers
February 20, 1937 — March 5, 2017
Pearl Powers is what her name suggest, a precious jewel. But, her confidence is not in who she is, but in WHOSE she is. She belongs to the King of Kings, and she is more alive today than she ever was.
"Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11: 25-26 Pearl believes it! She is today, "content to be home with her Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8. She understands that salvation is by faith alone and grace alone.
You are invited to celebrate Pearl's new life with Christ at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11 at Washington Avenue Christian Church, 3800 S. Washington St. with Rev. Jim Shelburne officiating.
Survivors include two sons Ron Powers, Dale Powers and wife Beth, two grandsons, Matthew and Hunter, two granddaughters Charris and Morgan and her husband Hunter.
