Philip Arthur Harvey

Philip Arthur Harvey, 56, of Amarillo, passed away on May 7, 2026.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Llano Cemetery.

Philip was born on October 7, 1969, in Amarillo, Texas, to Nelson and Sue (Johnson) Harvey. He graduated from Tascosa High School and later attended Amarillo College. Philip would find his way in the Industrial Sales business where he worked for many years, forming friendships and lifelong connections.

Philip was a man of simple means. He wasn’t flashy or outspoken, he was quiet and calm. Philip loved being outside. Rather it was the thrill of the hunt chasing big game or sitting on the quiet waters of his favorite fishing spot, Philip found solace outdoors. His favorite place to be was taking in the salty air of the ocean on a beach watching the waves crash over each other.

Philip was preceded in death by his sister, Susan “Michelle” Harvey. Those left to cherish his memories are his father, Nelson Harvey and wife Barbara, mother, Sue Harvey, and his many friends and extended family.
