Raul Duarte, age 49, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Angel Funeral Home’s Chapel of Angels, 2209 S. Arthur Amarillo, Texas 79103. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, April, 1, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2500 S. Bolton Amarillo, Texas 79103, with Rev. Jose Gomez, as celebrant. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.
Mr. Duarte was born on August 30, 1966 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He graduated from Benito Juarez High School in Chihuahua, Mexico. He married Rosa Robles on March 23, 1984 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He loved cooking out, especially for the family cook-outs. He enjoyed watching soccer. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Duarte; two daughters, Rosa Rainey and husband Andrew, and Rebeca Duarte; one son, Raul Adrian Duarte and his wife, Cynthia, all of Amarillo; his mother, Amparo Duarte; two sisters, Dora and Marcela Duarte; two brothers, Luis Orozco and Mario Aguirre, all of Mexico; and five grandchildren and one on the way.
