There will be a Memorial Service will be held in June in the LaPlata Mountains outside of Durango, Colorado.

Reba “Charlene” Thornton 71 of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home; 2209 S. Arthur St.; Amarillo, TX

Charlene Thornton was born on April 16, 1943 in Girard, TX to Raymond and Dorothy Perry. She married Artie Thornton on August 10, 1959. She worked at Affiliated Foods for 10 years until her retirement.  She loved gardening, being outdoors, going to garage sales and having her family close.

She was preceded in death by her husband Artie Thornton; a sister Sharon Roy; brother
Jim Perry; and a great-granddaughter Taegen McKinney.

Survivors include 2 daughters Jamie Cowley and Sherry Pinasco; a brother R.L. Perry and Wayne Perry; step siblings, Kathleen, Cindy, Donald, Ronald, and Richard; five grandchildren, Jenni, Jewel, Artie, Ashley, and Jared; seven great-grandchildren, Conner, Jaycie, Brodie, Cylus, Robbie, McKenzie and baby Hoyt.
